Our Discovery students have been researching the many aspects of  the invention process.  In addition to creating our own inventions, we've also found some terrific web pages.  Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Another enjoyable activity has combined creative thinking skills and recycling objects.  Inspired by the work of Joan Steiner, we have designed 3D Look AlikesClick here to see one of Joan Steiner's Look Alike pictures. 

The sixth graders review their knowledge of inventions and the patent process using the game they created,  "Who Wants To Be An Inventionaire!"

Handbook for Inventors  This is THE source for many of the questions that independent inventors have.  It explains intellectual property and what can be patented. This handbook also describes licensing, patent searches, raising capital, and much more.

Riley's Kid's Inventors Resources   This is the place to find a fabulous collection of resources on inventions. Great for kids and teachers.  An inventor himself, Ronald Riley has compiled an excellent web site for anyone interested in inventions and inventing!  Be sure to look at his science fiction links, too.
