Academically Talented Youth*
Published by the Center for Talent Development at Johns Hopkins University, this magazine is aimed at gifted students in grades 7-12. There are five issues per year, each issue containing information about diverse extracurricular learning opportunities, including internships, competitions, and programs; advice on preparing for college; games, puzzles, and book reviews; students' creative work; and articles (many written by students) on focus topics ranging from computer technology to writing for publication to social sciences. *Imagine* is a valuable source of information for academically talented students, parents, and educators. Program for Gifted Youth Stanford University is a continuing project dedicated to developing and offering multimedia, computer-based, distance-learning courses. "Combining technical and instructional expertise, EPGY provides high ability students of all ages with an individualized educational experience, optimized in both pace and content. Through EPGY, students have access to courses in a variety of subjects at levels ranging from kindergarten through advanced-undergraduate." |
