Principal's Message
Parents, Students, and Community Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Indian Hill Primary School. We are home to all Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade students who live in the Indian Hill Village Exempted School District north of Cincinnati, Ohio.
As an early childhood center, we are able to tailor building-wide instructional practices, materials, and equipment to meet the diverse needs of our young students. IHPS, as we affectionately call it, provides a safe and warm environment for students to learn, explore, take risks, and reach their individual potential. We are dedicated to supporting and meeting each individual student’s progress and needs.
IHPS is fortunate to have an experienced team of teachers who are constantly researching and learning about new methods they can pair with their strong foundation around early childhood development. Our school uses a philosophy called Responsive Classroom. This approach is about developing a community or family in every classroom and as a school. Research supports that when students feel like they belong, learning achievement increases.
Indian Hill families are an important part of our school as well. Volunteers are in the building daily and provide support to IHPS in our lunchroom, playground and classrooms. In addition, we work closely with the
Indian Hill PTO
and
Indian Hill Boosters
. Both organizations provide support financially and through volunteerism to enhance the learning opportunities for all students across the Indian Hill School District.
We welcome you to our family at Indian Hill Primary School. I encourage you to contact me via
email
, phone call, or setting up a face-to-face meeting if I can ever be of assistance.
Sincerely,
Jim Nichols, Principal
