High School Mock Trial Team – State Champions – 4th time in 5 years!

Mock Trial does it again:  State Champions!  Please congratulate Aaron Hall, Julia Horst, Reagan Wilkins, Laurin Schwab, Catherine Fei, Gloria Park, and Jordan Conn on an incredible accomplishment.

In the 30 year history of Ohio Mock Trial, no team has ever “repeated” on two different occasions.  Nor has any team ever won four state championships in five years! Here’s is a recap of the competition.

Round  one:  Indian Hill defeated one of the three teams from Orange High School.

Round two:  Indian Hill defeated Upper Arlington.

Quarter-finals:  Indian Hill defeated Portsmouth.

Semi-finals:  Indian Hill defeated St. Vincent St. Mary’s.

Finals:  Beat another team from Orange. No team at State won their prosecution case more than once.  Indian Hill won it three times!

Outstanding witness awards were won by Reagan Wilkins (Round One) and Julia Horst (semi-finals)

Outstanding attorney awards:  Aaron Hall won four (Round one, Round two, Quarter-finals, and Finals).  That gives Aaron 16 for his career, besting by one the previous mark of 15 set by a student named Steve Reger – a few years ago.

Best of all, our students were the very definition of poise, class, dignity, and character.  Please join me in congratulating our “magnificent seven” Aaron Hall, Julia Horst, Reagan Wilkins, Laurin Schwab, Catherine Fei, Gloria Park, and Jordan Conn, on a truly unprecedented accomplishment!
