Special Education Services

at Indian Hill Elementary

Indian Hill Elementary School offers special education programs and services to provide an appropriate education for all students. Our goal is to learn the strengths and needs of each individual student and plan a program in the least restrictive environment. Parents play a vital role in sharing information about their child and planning his or her educational program.

All special education programs operate within the Ohio Department of Education guidelines, that regulate assessment, identification and educating children. The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), recently revised, also contains federal regulations that our school must follow.

This web page gives only a brief overview of information concerning our special education programs and is not intended to be used as a resource for legal concerns. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher or a IHES special education teacher for more information.
