Dear Parents and Friends, It is hard to believe that we are on the threshold of winter break. But here we are just one week before our mid-year break. Time really does fly! As usual, we are as
busy as ever at the Middle School. We have completed our first
season of athletic competition. Indian Hill Middle School was well
represented on the athletic fields and courts with cross country,
volleyball, football, tennis, golf, and cheerleading. Our students
competed with strength and tenacity, but more importantly, with
great sportsmanship. Thank you, parents and coaches, for making our
seasons a success. |

We also had a successful fall play, Scheherazade. Over 80 Middle School students participated in a wonderful production. One of the goals of a middle school theater program is provide students instruction in all aspects of theater so that they build skills to take into high school if they so choose. Our director, Mrs. Emily Martin, our theater director, Mrs. Heather Koester, and our parent volunteers led by Mrs. Cathy Gould work hard to be sure that we meet our goal but also produce a great show too. Thank you to all of you who are involved. It is unique to have a theater program in middle school, and we have it because of the work of many parents and volunteers. Way to go! In addition to performing and competing, our students have also been busy giving. We completed our annual food drive for the Freestore Foodbank prior to Thanksgiving Break. Thank you to the Student Council led by Mrs. Patty Sutton, 8th grade social studies, and Mrs. Paula Fahrenkamp, 6th grade social studies, for your efforts to collect food for our neighbors in need. Parents, you are a significant part of our success, and we thank you too for modeling the spirit of generosity. Of course, academic learning continues each day at the Middle School. Please check out the links below to see all the details. Kimberly Miller It's about the
journey--mine and yours--and the lives we can touch, the legacy we
can leave, and the world we can change for the better. |
