MSPE Program Philosophy

Physical education is concerned with the total well-being of students. This encompasses interrelated studies in health and physical education programs that involve the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Basic concepts in physical development and health provide students with knowledge, skills, and experiences in body development, opportunities for obtaining and assessing their individual skills, opportunities for developing personal health/fitness plans, and skills and strategies in activities for lifelong participation and maintenance of wellness.
