Excellence Matters – Meet IH PTO President Jeffrey Heinichen

Jeffrey Heinichen

During the 2018-2019 school year, our Indian Hill PTO supported all schools within the Indian Hill School District with financial support totaling $64,809, and contributed substantial donations in materials … outstanding! That doesn’t even take into account the countless volunteer hours that were donated to lead important learning events for Braves. We simply could not provide our Braves the unparalleled opportunities they have without our IH PTO.

This month, as we continue to meet our District game-changers in our Excellence Matters series – we shine the spotlight on IH PTO President Jeffrey Heinichen. Humble, service oriented, and focused on inclusion – I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Heinichen when I arrived to the District; what a warm welcome he gave my family. It is the same warm welcome our dedicated IH PTO gives to every new Brave who joins our educational community.

In his own words, read what it means to Mr. Heinichen to be a Brave. Thank you, Indian Hill PTO for all you do for our students, our community, and our staff.

In service to our children,
Kirk Koennecke

Jeffrey Heinichen
President, Indian Hill PTO

I have been a life-long Cincinnati native and spent more than 50 of those years in the Indian Hill School District. I must admit I am a Cincinnati Country Day graduate. My life as an Indian Hill Brave began when my wife Myse and I took our son Andrew to the Indian Hill Primary School kindergarten in 2011. Andrew is now in the eighth grade and his sister, Sofia, is in the fourth grade at the Indian Hill Elementary School. Myse and I have had the privilege of volunteering in many capacities at the Primary and Elementary schools over these past nine years. My current role as Indian Hill PTO President is just another step along that journey of being a Brave. We both embrace the Indian Hill School District’s mission of Enduring Excellence in Learning, Leadership, Innovation, and Service, to make us stronger and to help us build the foundation of tomorrow by developing the qualities of leadership today.

Professionally, I started in the practice of law, which was followed by being an entrepreneur, an angel investor, and a college professor in the fields of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Quality of Management. I presently offer pro-bono legal services to startup companies in the Greater Cincinnati area through the SCORE mentorship program. I am a mentor to various startup companies, and I have a consulting business known as the Center for Great Work Performance.

The mission of the Indian Hill PTO is to maintain an understanding and working relationship with the Indian Hill School District’s administration, the teachers, the parents and most importantly, the students. The Indian Hill PTO provides a portal for the administration, teachers, and parents, for open, clear, and vital communications. The Indian Hill PTO raises funds to provide enrichment opportunities to support the administration and the curriculum to help make our great Indian Hill Schools the best they can possibly be. The Indian Hill PTO also provides the administration, the teachers and the students with fun and family friendly activities and celebrations, as well as educational opportunities that expand knowledge and experience of our very diverse community.

Joining the Indian Hill PTO allows you to partner with parents and teachers to enrich the life of the students in every school. Every child in the Indian Hill School District is served whether or not you join, because our commitment is to enrich all the students experience while they are at school. A complete list of the many things the PTO does is found on the IH PTO website.
