In March, the District conducted a public hearing and the first reading of a draft of the 2020-2021 school calendar. Between first and second readings, we continued to gather feedback from a variety of stakeholders. In addition, an ongoing discussion has been occurring related to how to integrate more professional development for staff within the calendar.
Because of the nature of the changes between first and second reading, we are disseminating a new draft so that staff members, parents, and community members may provide additional feedback. The feedback will be reviewed and considered over the summer with a third reading by the Board and potential approval in August or September.
