The Indian Hill School District congratulates Indian Hill High School (IHHS) Counselor Donita Jackson for being recognized by the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC) with the M. Jeanne Talley Human Relations Award. The award recognizes individuals who have given above and beyond to those in need. The award presentation Sunday, March 10, during the OACAC Conference in Columbus was a surprise to Jackson.

“I was extremely shocked and utterly surprised!” said Jackson. “As the presenter read the description of the nominee, I sat there smiling and happy for the individual. The more I heard – I realized it was me. I placed my head in my hand. When my name was announced the audience applauded and I was so humbled and honored. As I walked onto the stage, my family was walking across the stage from the opposite side. I had no clue and was totally elated to see them.”

“It is completely unsurprising to anyone who has worked with Mrs. Jackson that she received this special recognition,” said Indian Hill High School Principal Jeff Damadeo. “Mrs. Jackson – through her leadership within our building and our District – is opening the door to conversations on inclusion and building strong relationships with our students and with each other. We sincerely appreciate all she has done for our Brave family, and congratulate her on this much-deserved honor.”
