New look for the New Year!
IH Logo
Did you notice indianhillschools.org celebrated the New Year with a new look? At the end of December, the District unveiled a new website that enhances online informational capability and streamlines the building website pages.

“We are excited to continue to grow our strategic goal of enhancing Dynamic Stakeholder Engagement through District communications, and the redesign of our website is part of that process,” said Indian Hill Superintendent Dr. Mark Miles. “In line with our value of continuous improvement, we will seek to evolve and improve our practices, and as our Braves use the new website we welcome feedback on how we can make it even better.”

District Website
Visually, the District is sharing the Brave story in a much more robust fashion – starting with a header slideshow under our District vision statement that features 13 rotating images detailing significant #IHPromise moments. Featured headlines have movement and are presented directly under the main story slideshow; the online District calendar was given a facelift; the District social media channels can now be accessed easily from the main page, and feature a live feed from all channels. The Indian Hill Promise is clearly articulated, both within text and through a video featuring all of the District administrators, complemented by a Fast Facts section highlighting significant #IHPromise moments. The District mission is also clearly stated, with beautiful drone video capturing our outstanding campus.

Building Webpages
Building pages now each feature a slideshow of students within their building who share what they dream to become as part of the #IHPromise. Braves should know that while all of the information from the old site was migrated to the new site – there are some changes to the navigation for the building webpages. The main navigation at the top continues to support the District, and stakeholders need to scroll down the page to see the left navigation on each building page that is specific to that building. Additionally, there is a featured story section in the center navigation for each building, and contact information for each administrator. Located on the right side of the building webpages, stakeholders can view live Twitter feeds for each building and upcoming events. Access to lunch menus has been streamlined for all buildings, and is located under “Students & Parents” on both the top District navigation, and within the building webpage left navigation.

Our Team
Each administrator devoted time to developing a personalized profile for a new Our Team section, which provides stakeholders a snapshot of the entire administrative team, each administrator’s contact information, personal #IHPromise, description of what being Brave means to them, and a detailed description of each administrator’s education and professional background.

The entire site converts into a mobile view when accessed from a phone. The District is working on the launch of a complementary app.

“Our focus is our students – and that is clear when you go to our new District website,” said Dr. Miles. “This website gives us the ability to share the unparalleled opportunities we offer in academics, the arts, and athletics like never before. It is an exciting time to be a Brave!”
