The number causing all the excitement is 27; at Indian Hill High School (IHHS) that number marks the 2018 ACT composite score for the District – it is an all-time high in the District’s recorded history!

“At Indian Hill, we have a commitment to academic, athletic, and artistic achievement, and today we celebrate this outstanding moment within the realm of academics,” said IHHS Principal Jeff Damadeo. “This success is a reflection of two important things – the dedication our scholars show toward their individual academic achievement, and the District’s commitment to a vision of Enduring Excellence in Learning, Leadership, Innovation, and Service. This is a moment we will celebrate. We are incredibly proud of what our students and teachers have accomplished.”

The ACT consists of curriculum-based tests of educational development in English, mathematics, reading, and science designed to measure the skills needed for success in first-year college coursework. ACT research has shown that it is the rigor of coursework – rather than simply the number of core courses – that has the greatest impact on ACT performance and college readiness. The state average ACT composite score for 2018 was 20.3.
