Indian Hill educator selected as a ‘2024 George B. Chapman, Jr. Math Teacher Award of Excellence’ recipient

The Indian Hill School District celebrates educator Lee Jimenez who was selected by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation as a 2024 George B. Chapman, Jr. Math Teacher Award of Excellence recipient. Jimenez was awarded a $1,000 grant to advance classroom learning. Jimenez earned the grant during his time teaching at Indian Hill Elementary School; he started the 2024-2025 school year in a new role as the Indian Hill Middle School innovation coach.

“Mr. Jimenez delivered visionary project-based learning for our Indian Hill Elementary School students in his role as a teacher, and he will now expand his creative teaching abilities to positively impact student and staff learning in his new role at Indian Hill Middle School; we are exceptionally impressed with how he continues to push his educational practices for the benefit of developing student-leaders,” said Indian Hill CEO/Superintendent Kirk Koennecke. “We congratulate him for this deserved recognition.”

The mission of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation is to foster the development of young people to the maximum possible and provide a greater means for accomplishment on the part of Ohio’s teachers by encouraging creativity.
