Indian Hill Middle School students recognized for writing

Writing Competition

The Indian Hill School District celebrates Indian Hill Middle School student-authors Ella Bay and Avery Brown who each earned accolades in the Books by the Banks Cincinnati Regional Book Festival writing competition. Ella Bay placed second and Avery Brown placed third, each for short story submissions.

“I am so proud of Ella and Avery for having the confidence to enter this competition and for how well they represented Indian Hill Middle School,” said Indian Hill Middle School teacher Kate Moster. “Their recognition by local professional writers is a significant milestone in their writing journey, and it's heartwarming to see our community support young writers.”

“We appreciate Ms. Moster’s mentorship for these young student-authors and congratulate all of our eighth grade students who composed stories to submit,” said Indian Hill Middle School Principal Lauren Gentene. “We are thrilled Ella and Avery were celebrated at such a prestigious event.”

Students aged 13-18 entered original short stories and/or poems centered around this year's theme, Movement. The students were recognized during the event.
