The Indian Hill School District celebrates the four Indian Hill Middle School eighth graders who showcased their innovation and problem-solving skills at the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) STEM Challenge State Competition on March 4, 2025, at Battelle in Columbus, Ohio. The team consisted of students Ivy Wilkes, Annie Kindberg, Alex Grebe, and Zoey Lampe, who earned their spot at the state competition after being named winners of the Southwest Regional STEM Hub in January.

“We are incredibly proud of these students who worked tirelessly as a team on their project since December, utilizing class time, academic advisory periods, and lunch breaks to refine their work,” said Indian Hill Middle School Principal Lauren Gentene. “I want to thank both Ms. Dillenburger and Ms. Hartings, for guiding this team and embracing the design thinking process alongside the students. Students collaborated with field experts and conducted their own research to develop a strong and competitive presentation.”

“It was inspiring to see these ladies persevere through constraints and challenges to learn through their own research and work alongside experts in the field to get to an end product that they were both excited and confident to present,” said Indian Hill Middle School teacher Kelly Hartings.

“This achievement highlights Indian Hill Middle School’s commitment to fostering science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and encouraging students to explore real-world problem-solving through innovation and collaboration,” said Gentene. “Congratulations to all Braves who showcased this learning at such an elite level.”
