Gratitude

Superintendent Kirk Koennecke

This school year, our classrooms are full of student learning in-person; our auditoriums are back to full-capacity operations; our athletic facilities are alive with the sounds of student-athletes playing at the top of their game.

The financial investment our stakeholders approved during the May levy will soon allow our facilities to match the excellence we deliver in academics, arts, and athletics. The construction crews are working; the designs are near completion – impacting every building within our District for generations to come.

Hundreds of students, educators, parents, community members, and alumni answered the call to join us in developing our new District strategic plan. Dozens have gathered at multiple meetings – both in person and virtual – to design a multi-year plan which will guide all we do to turn dreams into reality for the students we serve.

When I look across the Indian Hill School District, it is overwhelming. The sights and sounds of our District, not only in full operation but also moving forward, is an emotional experience.

I am full of gratitude for this experience that is uniquely Indian Hill.

Each of us, in our own way, understands that this school year has not been easy. Each member of our Brave Family has faced challenges – individual and collective. We have also persevered. We have kept our students at the center of all we do. We have continued to move forward together. As a family, we join with each other this Thanksgiving to do just that – give thanks.

I am thankful for our students; I am thankful for our parents; I am thankful for our community; I am thankful for our educators; I am thankful for you.

Thank you. Your continued support is the difference.

In service to our children,
