IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE: Short-Term K-12 Mask Mandate Extended

Indian Hill School District Families:

In our ongoing efforts to keep our students and staff safe during this global pandemic, and with a focus to keep our buildings open for in-person learning, the administration has made the decision to extend the short-term mask mandate K-12 for all students, staff, and visitors through Friday, January 28.

The primary factor leading to this decision is that we remain in a critical position with staffing due to COVID cases, and overall staff attendance.

For clarification purposes, during the short-term mask mandate, masks are to be worn by students, staff, and visitors indoors. The mandate does not pertain to outdoors activities, including recess.

We will continue to monitor the evolving COVID research and data. Our priority of in-person learning will continue to guide our decision making as we work together to ensure success.

As always, we appreciate the ongoing support from parents, staff, and – as always – our amazing students, as we navigate the remainder of the school year.

In service to our children,
Kirk Koennecke
