Indian Hill School District earns record number of Blue Chip Awards

Blue Chip Awards

The Indian Hill School District celebrates the Indian Hill Television Network (IHTN) for earning a record 15 Blue Chip Awards during the annual ceremony on Thursday, May 18, at the Redmoor Theater.

“This is the largest number of finalists in our program’s history spanning 26 years,” said IHTN Executive Producer Dennis Dupps. “Indian Hill won its first Blue Chip Award in 1996. This year we had 11 student producers and eight staff producers. It is exciting to see our school community embrace video production as a valuable communication tool.”

During the 2023 Blue Chip Awards, Indian Hill had 37 programs nominated, 22 programs that made it to finals, with 15 of those finalists earning awards. Winning producers included the following Indian Hill High School students: Geno Cardosi, Daniel Chen, Nick Guinan, Wyatt Higgins, Chloe Hutton, Brian Jia, Henry Kohnen, Dhilan Minocha, Zachary Rosenbaum, Alex Rozakis, and Reesë Tuttle.

“Being nominated for a Blue Chip Award is an amazing accomplishment, much less being nominated for six,” said award winner Geno Cardosi. “I think it gives me a moment to truly look back on Indian Hill's amazing video technology program that gives us the ability to do these things. Without that, none of this would be possible.”

“It’s kind of surreal,” said award winner Chloe Hutton. “I went from not knowing a thing about videography, to watching my dad make his movie, to being up for five awards. I am happy for this opportunity, especially as it is my senior year, and I am definitely making the most of it.”

“It was an honor to receive the Blue Chip Awards I got,” said award winner Reesë Tuttle. “They were because of the skills and knowledge I gained purely through the video production program at Indian Hill, led by Mr. Dupps. Being able to receive those awards shows how truly amazing the program and teachers are.”

In addition to the student-earned awards, Indian Hill Blue Chip Award winners also included three Indian Hill teachers: Ricardo Hill, Tom Millard, and Susan Savage. Indian Hill Athletic Coordinator Julius King, Athletic Trainer Terri Konte, and Chief Communications Officer Heather Higdon also won.
