Indian Hill High School congratulates three seniors who have been named Emerging Leaders for 2021 by DECA, the national organization for business students. Vandita Rastogi, Sophie Sawyers, and Lauren Sewell completed community service, gained professional experience through internships, and took part in leadership activities and events at Indian Hill High School and in the community to earn this honor, in addition to maintaining academic studies.

“These seniors have gone beyond the DECA experience during the past three years,” said Phil Said who teaches marketing at Indian Hill High School in partnership with Great Oaks. “They met the criteria by showing DECA excellence, academic excellence, experienced leadership, professional responsibility, and community-oriented involvement.”

The DECA organization is composed of more than 210,000 students who are interested in marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality, or management. DECA enhances the preparation for college and careers by providing co-curricular programs that integrate into classroom instruction, apply learning, connect to business and promote competition.
