NEW DATES ADDED! Tour Indian Hill School District facilities

Chris Patek and Kirk Koennecke at IHMS

May 4, 2021, our stakeholders will determine how the Indian Hill School District will move forward to Build a Brave Future. The District has a 5.43 mill combined operating/bond levy on the ballot. The operating levy will provide dollars for daily operations to maintain our excellent educational services. The bond issue meets critical District needs within our facilities, including the replacement of Indian Hill Middle School and security upgrades throughout the District.

In an effort to continue to inform our stakeholders about the issues we face as a District specific to our facilities, we want to extend an invitation to you to tour our facilities within the Indian Hill School District. We are offering two ways for you to join us – through both video and in-person tours.

A new video series: INSIDE OUR FACILITIES
This March we launch a new video series: INSIDE OUR FACILITIES. In this series, I visit with building leaders and experts to share factual information about how the May 4, 2021 bond portion of the combined levy would be invested. These videos will be produced weekly during the month of March, and can be accessed through our beINFORMED website resource on our District website.

April 7 & April 21: In-person tour of Indian Hill Middle School
The issues within our facilities have been well researched in a public process that first began in 2018 when the District launched a Facilities Assessment Task Force comprised of community members, parents, and staff members, working in conjunction with a professional architecture firm. This was an opportunity to open up our facilities for all of our stakeholders to examine the conditions of our buildings. As the recommendation was made to replace Indian Hill Middle School, we want to make the opportunity available again this April for any members of the community who did not have a chance to be engaged with the facilities assessment process to tour that building in person.

Join us for the tours of Indian Hill Middle School:

• 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7
• 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21

April 14: In-person tour of Indian Hill Elementary School & Indian Hill Primary School:
Significant improvements will also be made to Indian Hill Elementary School and Indian Hill Primary School. During this tour, community members will have the opportunity to see the buildings and learn more about the planned enhancements.

Join us for the tours of Indian Hill Elementary School and Indian Hill Primary School:
  • 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 14
Please note that building tour visitors will be expected to wear a mask and follow all District health and safety protocols.

We hope these opportunities to see inside our facilities will help inform you about the needs that our stakeholders identified across campus during the public facilities assessment process.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly with any questions.

In service to our children,

Kirk Koennecke
