Excellence Matters: Meet Erica Camp, Indian Hill PTO President
Erica Camp with her family
In the 2020-2021 school year, the Indian Hill PTO supported all Indian Hill schools with financial support totaling $123,115.90, and contributed substantial donations in materials. Countless volunteer hours supported a variety of events.

It is my privilege to work alongside President Erica Camp who, along with the Indian Hill PTO, has been a game-changer for our District.

In our annual Excellence Matters series, we strive to connect you with our support organization leaders. Today, we turn the spotlight on Mrs. Camp, who has three students attending our District. In her own words, read what it means to Mrs. Camp to be a Brave. Thank you, Indian Hill PTO for all you do to enrich the lives of our students, our community, and our staff.

In service to our children,
Kirk Koennecke
Superintendent

Meet Erica Camp, IH PTO President
Our family moved into the Indian Hill School District eight years ago after living in Germany for a three-year expat assignment. Upon our return to Cincinnati, we knew we wanted our children to attend Indian Hill Schools so we moved into the district specifically for the outstanding educational system. My husband, Jason, and I have three boys who are in 10th grade (Ethan), 8th grade (Eli), and 4th grade (Evan), and couldn’t be happier with the teachers and administration. Most importantly, our boys are happy and thriving.

I have been involved in many volunteer opportunities over the years such as chairing events at the various schools, being a grade representative, library duty, and helping out with all of the wonderful events that the Indian Hill PTO sponsors such as Pioneer Days, field trips, and the COSI experience, to name a few.

This past year has been challenging to say the least, but through all of the ups and downs I believe it taught our community what being a BRAVE truly means. Our children are taught in the Primary School that as BRAVES, “We Take Care of Ourselves; We Take Care of Each Other; We Take Care of Our Environment.” Our kids are resilient, smart, strong, and kind. Our differences only make us stronger.

The Indian Hill Promise to me means always putting our children’s needs first. Always ensuring that they grow both academically and socially so they are ready to take on the world. Always ensuring that at the heart of it all they’re still kids and they need to laugh, have fun, and feel safe. Always ensuring that their safety and well-being is never compromised.

I became involved in the Indian Hill PTO because my children have truly benefited from all of the activities that the PTO has funded and organized. When you are in a position to give back, you should. For me it’s as simple as that. Working alongside my fellow board members, I witness firsthand their intelligence, work ethic, and passion for their children and our schools. It’s a privilege to work alongside these exceptional parents and I look forward to a wonderful school year!
