Indian Hill Sports Media presents Braves Madness
IH Sports MediaIt was lights out inside the Indian Hill High School gym on Friday night, November 11.

Pyrotechnics ignited excitement through the crowd, flanking either side of each varsity basketball player as Indian Hill Athletic Coordinator Julius King gave accolades and introductions to both Brave basketball teams, music thumping in the background.

This was the debut of Braves Madness.

A slam-dunk match.

A shootout competition.

Even a dog show.

A night to get pumped for the upcoming season, like never before.

“It was amazing,” said Indian Hill Athletic Director Brian Phelps. “This is something most fans can only experience on a collegiate or pro level, and our students and our team brought it to Indian Hill. It set the tone for what we know will be an incredible season.”

An incredible season for students both on the court and off.

Enter Indian Hill Sports Media.

A new group of energetic student-journalists who cover varsity athletics under the watchful eye of Phelps and King.

“This crew is like ESPN for Indian Hill,” said King. “They give you an insider’s look at Indian Hill Athletics, enhancing school spirit and the game day experience for all of Braves Nation – student-athletes and fans. They are incorporating pre-game and post-game interviews with coaches, players, fans, and our school staff.”

The IH Sports Media team works both on- and off-camera, assisting in video production and the creation of state-of-the-art graphics.

“Our Indian Hill Sports Media program brings special talent together; it trains us how to work as individuals while also collaborating as a team,” said Indian Hill High School senior Reese Tuttle. “We get opportunities we couldn’t get elsewhere; it is special.”

Tuttle works with Indian Hill Sport Media as a reporter for both video and social media. She is one of 25 students now helping launch the new media operation in conjunction with Indian Hill Television Network (IHTN).

“IHTN Executive Producer Denny Dupps has been instrumental to the success of our new Indian Hill Sports Media operations,” said King. “We are all one team. It is an exciting time to be a Brave!”
