IH Art Awards
The Indian Hill School District celebrates our Indian Hill High School visual art students who received 11 art awards at the regional Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition. Out of 1,062 submissions from our region, our students were 11 of the top 164 selected to advance to compete at the state level. Indian Hill High School had three submissions by two students, Vivian Jenkins and Marin Messerschmitt, chosen at the state level.

“Selection for this prestigious event is an extraordinary accomplishment by our talented student-artists,” said Indian Hill High School Visual Art Teacher Kim Richardson. “We are thrilled Vivian and Marin achieve this much-deserved state recognition, and we congratulate all of our regional winners.”

State Selection
The Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition is an art competition for a variety of art media. Work is selected at the regional level and then chosen works go on to the state level for final judging. Winning pieces will be on display at the Ohio Department of Education and the Governor’s Office in Columbus. Students whose works are selected at the state level will be recognized at an awards ceremony and will be eligible for scholarships.

Only 253 pieces were selected from the entire state for the prestigious exhibition at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus, including Indian Hill High School student Vivian Jenkins, whose drawing titled, A Period Piece was selected.
