Indian Hill welcomes new members to the Brave team
New Team MembersThe Indian Hill School District welcomes new Indian Hill High School Assistant Principal Amy Epperson and District Arts and Activities Director Amy Clark for the 2021-2022 school year. An instructional veteran, Epperson comes to the District from Tippecanoe High School where she served as assistant principal; Clark, who has a rich professional history as a music educator at St. Vivian School and Ursuline Academy, comes to the District as the current Indian Hill Church youth director and assistant director of music.

“We are thrilled to welcome both of these amazing professionals to our team,” said Indian Hill Superintendent Kirk Koennecke. “Our nationally recognized arts program, which involves a comprehensive K-12 education for our students, is known for producing incredible performances throughout the school year. Ms. Clark will work behind-the-scenes to assist in the coordination of performances, and will be in the ‘front of the house’ showcasing the unparalleled opportunities for our students and sharing the story of the Brave arts experience like never before.

“Additionally, we have worked to redesign our administrative team to ensure that every building within our campus is supported by an assistant principal. Ms. Epperson is a proven instructional leader who brings a robust resume focused on high school curriculum with 24 years of experience to our District. We welcome both of these outstanding professionals to our team!”

At Tippecanoe, Epperson was the model of life-long learning and growth mindset for both staff and students in her administrative role. Prior to her work as an assistant principal, she served students as a teacher and building leader at Miamisburg High School (1999-2020); a Spanish teacher at Carroll High School (1997-1999); and she served as an adjunct professor at Wright State University (2008-2010). Epperson earned her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. She earned her Master of Education in Teaching Leadership and her Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Dayton. Epperson also earned her National Board Certification in 2007.

“I am honored to be joining the incredible administrative team at Indian Hill High School; our scholars are future global leaders, and it is with enthusiasm that we are preparing for a fantastic welcome back for the fall,” said Epperson. “Our team is full of positive energy, and I cannot wait to join Principal Damadeo on the first day of school in the front of the building to greet our students for the start of the 2021-2022 school year!”

In her role as the youth director and assistant director of music at Indian Hill Church, Clark works to organize performances featuring students from age three through high school. She served students as the director of vocal music at Ursuline Academy (2012-2019), and was a music educator at St. Vivian School (2008-2012). Clark earned her Bachelor of Science, Music Education, and her Bachelor of Arts, Vocal Performance from Xavier University.

“I am thrilled to work side-by-side with our team of dedicated educators and administrators in the role of arts and activities director for the Indian Hill School District to share the Brave arts story with our supportive community,” said Clark. “Our nationally recognized programs provide an excellent platform for our talented students, and I cannot wait to join my love and passion for the arts with their fire and enthusiasm for all they create on a daily basis!”

Epperson replaces Assistant Principal Drew Renner at Indian Hill High School. Renner will join the team at Indian Hill Middle School in the same role, replacing Assistant Principal Cash Hayden. Hayden will join the team at Indian Hill Elementary School. Assistant Principal Andy Gruber, who split his time between the elementary school and primary school, will be the full-time assistant principal at Indian Hill Primary School for the 2021-2022 school year.
