‘Coaching Legend’ Sue Enquist creates memorable leadership lessons for Indian Hill students

Leadership Summit on the The Hill

The Indian Hill School District welcomed legendary collegiate sports leader Sue Enquist to campus to lead the fourth event in the Leadership Summit on The Hill on Thursday, March 20. Enquist began her day with the younger Braves, speaking at Indian Hill Elementary School. She took the stage of the Sue Harder Memorial Performing Arts Center where Indian Hill Middle School and Indian Hill High School students joined community members for the keynote presentation in the afternoon. The event was free to all Braves thanks to the support and partnership of both Humanex and the Indian Hill PTO.

“We are grateful to our partners for bringing a leader the caliber of Sue Enquist to our Brave family!” said Indian Hill School District CEO/Superintendent Kirk Koennecke. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this experience and appreciate the lessons our students learned.”

Sue Enquist is an 11-time national championship and legendary collegiate sports leader, named a “coaching legend” by ESPN. Coach Enquist is responsible for building a legendary softball program over three decades at UCLA, producing 15 Olympians, 65 NCAA All-Americans, holding the highest-winning percentage among all Division I coaches, and multiple National Coach of the Year awards. This six-time Hall of Fame inductee will share the deep beliefs, unique insights, and practices that are keys to her success. Enquist is the founder of ONESoftball.com a free online community for parents, players, and coaches. She owns Bruwin Enterprises, LLC., a leadership and business strategies company serving corporate and educational entities.

The Indian Hill School District began the Leadership Summit on The Hill series during the 2023-2024 school year; Stephen M. R. Covey, New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal best-selling author, kicked off the series with Sgt. Maj. of the Army Daniel A. Dailey, U.S. Army retired, who has served with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Infantry Divisions stateside and overseas. Dailey was sworn in as the 15th sergeant major of the Army on Jan. 30, 2015. In October of 2024, the district hosted former professional athlete Chris Singleton.

“Leadership learning begins with our youngest students and builds over their K-12 experience at the Indian Hill School District,” said Director of K-12 Leadership and Career Development Jeff Damadeo. “We look forward to continuing this exciting series in the fall.”
