Indian Hill High School Class of 2024:

What a beautiful setting, in such a wonderful community, on such an exciting evening, as you step from the precipice of now to the future. Can you feel it?

Moments matter.

Context matters.

Each generation matters.

Class of 2024, your moments have been many, and they have been memorable. When you couldn’t connect, you found ways to connect, through text chains, and Zoom calls, and flash mobs. You created innovative moments to connect to one another. And when you finally could reconnect, you found joy through disconnecting – gathering and laughing, and being together in person again –  in the moment.

You are the class that came out of a pandemic bursting with social energy and leadership potential, and you have put those traits to good use! You have created new leadership opportunities for yourselves and others. You have created new clubs and new activities. You may have even made a Big Pitch or two! You have rekindled an atmosphere of school spirit at events.
You have been there for your teammates and classmates. You’ve earned every championship out of hard work and perseverance. Many championships! You’ve melted our hearts with signature performances. You have led this community, through Experienceships and providing services to others. And you have excelled academically in your pursuit of excellence.

Each moment collecting into time, creating your unique path, along a similar and familiar path that was created long ago on The Hill – a long red, Brave line connecting you to others in the past, the present, and the future. Some rites of passage call for serious reflection, some for joy, and some for both as we meet the moment.

In this moment, let us close together by showing our respect for time well served, together.

Never forget, you are, and WE always will be, Brave!
