The Indian Hill School District congratulates Indian Hill Elementary School third-grade students Will Esselen, Andrew Shubert, and Nate Strickland for earning the 2022 Inspired Innovator Award as part of the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati’s Design LAB city-wide architecture competition.

“We are incredibly proud of our young designers who created such an innovative project,” said Monica Dawkins who specializes in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) learning and works as a gifted intervention specialist for Indian Hill Schools.

According to their website, Design LAB is a project-based K-12 education program tailored to broaden and deepen student awareness, appreciation, and active participation in natural and built environments. More than 100 classrooms participate, which equates to over 2,000 students (K-8).

The three students were formally recognized by the Indian Hill Board of Education during the May 17, 2022 meeting for their outstanding achievement.
